It is fully ULEZ-exempt and passes through the Central London charging zone with no additional cost on any route — including the W1/WC1 hotel corridor, the City of London EC1–EC4 business district and the South Bank SE1 postcode. For Heathrow transfers the i5 travels via the M4 corridor and is fully charged before every pickup, so journey time and comfort are identical to the petrol 5 Series. Stansted runs via the M11 and A406 are a quiet, emissions-free alternative for early-morning departures from North and East London.
